April 1 - 9

Record: 3-2

Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers

This end of season period is typically where teams shut a lot of guys down and go into Playoffs fresh, but we didn’t have that luxury for the most part and neither did the teams we played. The race for playoff contention was so tight that we really struggled to get a feel for who was getting in and at what spot they would end up. We were lucky enough to have 2 games where we rested our starters, giving the rest of us the opportunity to get some serious burn. Personally had a few DNP’s as the team took shape for the first round of playoffs but was fortunate to get some heavy minutes against LAL and LAC in the last 2 games which I took full advantage of. It’s what you dream of all season long is being able to clock some heavy burn and with Biz going down and DA resting I got the opportunity to do just that. Huge for confidence going into Playoffs and just bloody fun. We had a good game in OKC which saw us take a 10 point win as book and KD found some great chemistry across the floor, as well as DA holding down the middle. Then went on to play my former squad which was relatively undermanned being that their season was all but over, and then a Denver team who was resting their entire starting mob. They were 3 tough games all seeing some big runs by the other team but ultimately falling short to our full strength unit as we got everyone back to find some continuity. Then went to LA and had a nice outing which saw us fall short in the 4th and back home to close out season against LAC who were at full strength but experience got them across the line in the end.
